Brief: NIGERIAN BANKS WEBSITE ASSESSMENT REPORT

This report is the 'Nigerian Banks Website Assessment Report'. The report which is a rating based reoprt is a result of an assessment process that measured the effectiveness of the websites of Nigerian banks based on information content.

The purpose of the report is to assess the level of information disclosure on the websites of Nigerian banks and to encourage improved and professionally delivered web content.

After the assessment, the 'Stakes Effectiveness Rating' was assigned to each bank website as an emperical measure of the effectiveness of the website. Also, an effectiveness level which measures points scored on percentage bases is also shown.

Citibank Nigeria Ltd, Ecobank Nigeria Plc, Equitorial Trust Bank Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank Plc were not included in the assessment because they are not public companies. Ecobank because the website is not specific to Ecobank Nigeria.
